Captains! Another week is winding down, which means it's fire up the engines and take to the virtual skies!
PMDG 747 Update:
We have a lot for you this weekend. First and foremost is an update for the PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies. Launch your PMDG Operations Center (the OC) and you can find the updates there! For more details on what's been addressed, check the link below.
PMDG 737NG3:
We're making great progress on the PMDG 737-NG3. A number of folks have been asking for us to let you know precisely what the NG3 product line will be comprised of and we will... but not just yet. ;)
PMDG 777 Updates:
Currently we are evaluating what the schedule is for the next update cycle on the 777. Right now, all development priority is on the NG3, 747 and Global Flight Operations- but the 777 is going to get a few updates in the following areas:
Electronic Flight Bag
PBR for P3D v4
Compatibility with Global Flight Operations
General fixes/corrections
PMDG DC-6 Updates:
We are having some discussion internally about PBR updates for the DC-6 product line, and also about updating the DC-6 to X-Plane 11 a bit later this year.
PMDG BAe JS4100 Updates:
We are not currently planning any development time on this product due to severe problems we ran into while trying to upgrade it to become compatible with Prepar3D. There WILL come a time when we circle back for it, but it is unlikely to happen in the near term.
X-Plane Development Updates:
Our workflow is currently best described as "significantly more than we can handle." We are talking about how to schedule one of the airliners into development for X-Plane but we aren't seeing a good clear pathway for this to happen just yet. We have a bunch of strategic objectives to knock out this year before I think we can seriously look at directing development time and investment toward moving something like NG3 in the direction of X-Plane- but it is a topic of discussion and once we have some definition in the discussion, I will be sure to share it with you.
and finally...
Forum Access Updates:
Last week there was quite a bit of drama regarding a post we made here on facebook that linked to a forum post that could not be read by those of you who were not registered. This was simply a leftover permission setting from earlier, when we had the forum active but only for PMDG beta testers and we didn't want the general public to be able to see message traffic. We forgot to turn this permission setting off when we went live- but we did so this morning and you should be able to read the PMDG forum without logging in if you desire.
So that being said, head over to our PMDG forum for a more in depth description of some of the above items, and have a great weekend!
